I love open-style dance & choreography! Although I got my start pretty late at the beginning of my college career, I've fallen completely in love with movement and it has quickly become one of the biggest passions in my life! TrueLement: Spring 2020 - Spring 2022

TrueLement, or TL, is an open-style exhibition team, that dances at a higher level than training teams. TL has been a team that I have aspired to join since first starting to dance, and so it has been a great honor and pleasure to dance along people I have looked up to. This team has challenged and pushed me to grow immensely in my dance skills, pick up, and vocabulary. It's also been an honor to choreograph for the 2021-2022 school year, with my two pieces: BAPES (collab with Tyler Lee) and HONEY (collab with Andrea Yeung and Shulamite Yang).

The [M]ovement: Summer 2019 - Spring 2020, Spring 2022

The [M]ovement has been a dance home for me to be vulnerable, grow a sense of community, and foster my leadership skills. I was able to participate in both live sets and video projects, as well as be apart of CORE, the logistics board that leads the organization. I served as the Social Chair (Fall 2019) and External Affairs Chair (Spring 2020). It was an honor and privilege to be an open-style choreographer and team director for the [M]ovement, which was a real full cirlce moment for me.

KPG: Spring 2022

I had the great opportunity to also dance with KPG (Korean Performance Group), a team dedicated to performing K-Pop choreography and adjusting said choreographies to fit larger groups and for a dance stage. I was definitely pushed to grow in my cleanliness, sharpness, and dance pick up. KPG has some of the best within the Berkeley Dance Community, and being surrounded by such talented dancers was humbling, challenging, and rewarding.

Abba Modern: Spring 2019 - Fall 2021

Abba Modern, the Christian dance team on the UC Berkeley campus, was my first dance team ever! This team was my introduction into dance and is a huge reason why I fell so deeply in love with dance. Abba has pushed me in my abilities to pick up choreography, tell stories through dance, choreograph pieces, and lead. I served as the Executive Director of the team for the 2020-2021 school year.

AFX: Summer 2019 & Fall 2020

I also participated in a few teams under AFX, a large umbrella dance organization, where I was able to both build my sense of community and build connections with the greater Berkeley dance community, and train through classes and workshops.
